[cobalt-users] DNS - Setting up Primary on Raq3i

I've been watching this list for a week and did a bunch of research on this,
but still seem to be missing something.

I have a Raq3i (boss.hooverfence.com) and I would like to set myself up with
primary DNS services.  I've followed the Interreliant page instructions,
setting
up my admin server's IP as the "Primary DNS Server Address" in the General
Settings of the Control Panel.  I've also created an A record
(ns1.hooverfence.com)
which resolves to the IP of boss.hooverfence.com.  I've left the "Secondary
DNS
Server Address" the same (Sprint provides our backbone)

My question: I think I need to register with Internic as a nameserver.  How
do I do this?
I've searched their site, without avail.
When will the indicator light become active for the DNS services on my
Active Monitor?

I'm looking to Jeff Lasman as a resource for this. (He seems to be the DNS
Guru!)
