Okay, first off... rip out all PTR (reverse) records you have for virtual
domains. They do you no good and actually, they cause the site to slow down
because the server is busy chasing it's tail round and round doing lookups
for virtuals.
Only domains with their own IP addies should have PTR records, if at all.
Second, do you have the EMAIL alias (not the DNS records) set up for this
site?
On a RaQ4 you just fill in abc.com in the Email Aliases field. On the RaQ3
it's different, I'm not sure how exactly.
Go into your Control Panel/Email Services and check to make sure you've got
abc.com filled in where it says "receive email for this domain".
Also, I am not sure on this, but I think it would be better to have virtual
sites send email to the High priority mail server www.yourserver.com.
Because *that* is the server they're on (technically, with no IP of their
own) and the email comes through that server. What I do is send virtual
sites mail through the server's mail domain, and sites that have their own
IP get mail sent to their own domain's mail server. Works like a charm.
You still might have to kill/redo the site. I've found that if you don't set
up the email on a RaQ correctly the first time, you're going to spend hours
tearing your hair out trying to get it to work. It's much easier to kill it
and redo it. But FYI, you should set up the Site and Email Aliases first,
*then* go do the DNS entries, *then* check the Email Services to make sure
everything's where it's supposed to be. (Usually if you set up the
Site/Email Aliases and then the DNS entries, the RaQ will put the proper
verbage in the Email Services on its own.)
