Thanks,
That gets me started...but here is a follow-up question:
<< You can name it anything you wan't. It's typically a machine name, and
I don't host anything on the main site. You can use your name, one of
your kid's names, etc. >>
This finally makes sense. My follow up clarification would be:
In the "Server Management - Control Panels - Network" section, now I know I
can name it anything, but what do I put as the "Host Name"? Do I put "www"
like my virtual sites, "ns" or "ns1" because my ISP's Secondary DNS starts
with "ns2". If so, which one is better to use.
<< Be sure to have both a DNS record in the domain for it, and be sure that
you or your ISP (whoever is hosting your reverse DNS) has a record for
IP# pointing back to it. >>
You mean set up the DNS for it, where it asks for "Server Management
- Control Panels - Services - DNS Server - Parameters - SOA Configuration"?
<< "Do I have to set up DNS for each Virtual Site?" If your ISP isn't doing
your primary DNS, then yes, you do. >>
My ISP is doing the Secondary DNS, and they say I'm doing the
Primary... If I set up this Primary DNS by naming it as above, should the
Virtual sties just sort of work once I tell Network Solutions?
Thank you again for your time and consideration.
