Greetings,
I have reviewed the archives and did not find the answer to my
questions. So I hope my inquery is not too redundant... but trying to figure
this out is very demeaning. It is probably very simple, but perhaps my
cafeen levels are too low to make it work.
I am setting up a RAQ3. I have one IP address. I will be hosting 17
sites. I have created the "virtual sites" as in the pdf manual. I have used
ftp to upload content. My ISP is handling the Secondary DNS, and has given
me the name and numbers to provide Network Solutions when I transfer off my
old ISP. However, I have the "Base IP"... but no name for it.
Question: How do I "name" my RAQ3? What "name" do I use in
conjunction with the Base IP.
Question: Do I have to pick one of my Virtual Sites to be "the
man"... to represent the server and act as a gateway for the Virtual Sites.
Or, do I not have a clue, and you're on the floor laughing at me right now.
Question: Do I have to set up DNS for each Virtual Site?
Thank you for your time and attention, as I stumble through this.
