I'm looking into doing the install, I also followed some basic instructions
I'm not a perl person by any means - this is a means to an end. I managed
to get several of the modules installed no problem through cpan shell then I
made the mistake of doing what it suggested and installing Bundle::CPAN
which did lots of stuff ending up by downloading and installing Perl 5.6.
Well I expected to have to do an OS Restore - the box is a dev one on my
desk so not a problem - but no what a surprise it seems to be working. I'm
going to get someone else to have a look as well and I will let you all
know. 90 bucks is a lot if we can work it out ourselves. The only thing is
I noticed on a clean box that 'apache-mod_perl-1.3.12-1C9' is already
installed so maybe metadot will install anyway without doing anything, but
its late here now so I might not be thinking straight.
Regards
Gavin
ps I haven't actually installed metadot, as I got distracted with OpenSRS
install.

Hi guys,
MetaDot is definitely the best free package out there, but has anyone got
this running on a RaQ3?
I asked metadot to do the install, they will for $90, bargain, but they
couldn't find record of installing it on a RaQ.
I started the install and the CPAN stuff started compiling perl 5.6 - which
someone mentioned kills the cobalt web interface?
Will it die if I upgrade Perl?
Regards,
Steve
