You're welcome. I'm one of those "trusted" users on many systems. One of
the local ISP's asked me to be the beta user when they first went online.
One of the crazy things he did was give me root access. Over the years
I've used the root less and less, as they have ironed out most of the
bugs. Our arrangement now is that if I break it, I have to fix it (g).

Until I discoved Cobalt based providers, I had not only shell access as a
requirement, but also a dedicated ip. My present Cobalt-based provider
did a good job of explaining why the dedicated ip requirement may not be
realistic, and between he and I worked out a way to access the CP and
my pages prior to DNS propogation.

In defense of the original post, I suspect that a potential problem might
be of a "bad"(malicious or ignorant) user with shell access and a server
administrator who is gui based only.
