Thank you Thom. A LOT of webhosting providers provide shell access either
via SSH/Telnet. I personally would not sign up with a provider if I was
not granted shell access. Editing files through the shell is much mor
easier than doing it locally then ftp'ing it up. You have your opinions
and I have mine. Instead of crticizing or assuming what expierience I
have, why don't you do what Thom said and if you know, point us in the
right direction for chroot.
On another hand. What if I chmod'ed each directory 711 by hand. Wouldn't
that prevent people from ls'ing the dirs?
