Hi,
I am leasing a server (RAQ3)with DialtoneInternet who have allocated me a
number of ip's that I am using. Most of my sites are on shared virtual
servers but I am also using SSL and FTP and a couple of virtual nameservers
etc so I have a number of ips allocated. They allocate the ips in blocks of
5 and I don't have to do anything to my RAQ3 after I have allocated them (I
assume that DialTone does the magic) - just start using them.
Was using one block - 64.65.55.110 - 114 successfully when it suddenly
stopped working 2 days ago - names don't resolve now (iluvoz.net is one site
in this range), ip's are not pingable - contacted DialtoneInternet (first
suport call in 4-5 months) and was told that they don't want to know - that
this is a payable support call at Public Holiday rates and unless I pay then
forget about it (didn't even bother to email me with the answer - just put
it in the ticket database)
Is there somewhere I can look to see what might have happened in my system -
some sort of netmask issue ?. I can't easily change the domains onto other
ips as one is using ssl and the other is a nameserver - changing ips on them
will be very problematic. I am using ips in ranges 64.65.10.45-49,
64.65.38.118-122, 64.65.55.110-114
