I have a little experience with the Raq 3. Has anyone done this that can
explain the instruction a little better or is there someone out there that
would be willing to do this and for how much?
This has been covered a lot and you can check the list archives for a
full explanation, Jim. But, since it's pretty simple for Raq3,
briefly...
The package itself is at:
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/contrib/binaries/RaQ3-POP-before-Relay-1.2.pkg
That version is the one we use, anyway. (There's a version 1.2.4 that
some use around here as well)
You can download it to your own computer and then upload it to the
Raq or you can do a direct load to the Raq from the ftp site. I would
do the former -- it's a small download and things can sometimes screw
up with a download so you want to be sure you get the whole thing
first.
That done, you go to the "maintenance" screen on your GUI -- then
click on "install software" in the toolbar above. In the screen that
opens, you click on "install .pkg package" (button in the middle of
the screen) and it will let you "browse" for the package on your
computer. Follow the prompts. The GUI downloads and installs the
package and then restarts services. You're all set.
Takes a few minutes only and it worked like a charm first time out for us.
