Jens,
I have often had to change the log rotation system on RaQs, when they
start getting so much traffic that the log rotation system simply make
the server hang.
Seems to fit in with my thoughts, although (I'm playing devils advocate
here) the server hasn't been receiving any more traffic than usual! Could
this be a cumulative thing? Plus since it's a standard thing on RAQs I'm
surprised there hasn't been a fix done by Cobalt yet?
Set up a small script that watches your server and saves information
to a file. Then you can just view that file after the hang.
OK, this is where I profess to having a lack of Unix knowledge. Could you
help me write a script for this?
BTW! Thanks for your help on this!
