Re: [cobalt-users] sendmail (i really need an answer asap)



Finally an answer...

The daemon itself will go unresponsive for a while, then shut down. As far
as I can see there are no errors in the logs, but I will examine them
thoroughly when I get the time. It will not deliver mail at all once it
stops responding, I have to go in and restarted it. This happens every other
day, and before I reinstalled sendmail, it would happen ever other minute or
so (literally). When I looked at the past messages on the list, someone else
had a similar problem and someone gave a very vague solution (lower the
timeout for the spool...there is no spool timeout in the config).
