Re: [cobalt-users] Get me off the ORBS list

just tagging ones known for spamming.

That was my first thought, too!
How wonderful it is for ORBS to be putting out a list of machines which
aren't entirely protected... gee, the spammers probably pay good money to
get a hold of that list, since they don't have to do the work themselves!

Okay, so how can we avoid this? I, too, don't allow anyone to relay mail
through the server *except* for myself in *rare* cases - I require my
clients to use their home ISP and I also use my home ISP; what's good for
the goose is good for the gander.
However, sendmail can of course send stuff out that originates from the
sites on the server.

So would a good preventative measure to this be to enable the smart relay?
Is there a way to keep Sendmail closed to *all* outside mail and just
deliver what comes off of the sites?

>Somebody has got to get rid of this ORBS crap,

JC I agree there... when it was just proven spammers it was a different
story, but now that they're blacklisting INNOCENT servers as well it's just
plain wrong. Millions of people in different races and religions have died
because of this exact sort of bull$hit. Just because I have the capability
to send mail doesn't mean I'm going to allow spammers to use my server and
won't take every legal action should I find one doing just that.
