Both machines are behind the same router and have NAT addresses.
The DNS www address goes to the router.
The router passes calls to port 80 to whatever is listening behind it. If
both machines are listening on port 80, I would assume there would be a
conflict. Therefore, my idea was to disable the Qube's http service on port
80 so that I could have the alternate machine be the public web server.
However, since then we've opened another router port, and I've put the other
machine on the althenate port. I think this will work for us. This, begs
the question on how to disable the public web site on the Qube, however,
which I still think I want to do, and which you kindly addressed in your
previous message.
