Hi everyone,
I am new at using this list (althought I have read it for some time) so if I
do something wrong please tell me what it is and excuse me.
Here is my situation. I lease ports from a CLEC for my customers to use to
access the Internet. When I started using their service, I entered their IP
ranges and my RAQ3i
(I use this machine for email and some hosting) and everything went fine.
Recently my CLEC sent
me an emailmessage telling me that they received several more ranges of IP
numbers and
they were included in the same message. I entered the first three octets of
the IP numbers into
my email server setup but they wouldn't work. I tried everything, finally I
gave up and
wrote a perl script to enter the full IP into the server setup.
Now it works but this is going to get really bulky fast. Does anyone know
why my RAQ would relay mail from the old IP ranges and not the new ones?
What can I do to
solve this?
I also have a separate problem but I want to include it here because it
might be helpful. I run a
DNS server from this machine too. The IP for the DNS is 209.190.244.70 I can
ping it from any network. The name of this server is host1.savy2k.net I can
ping it from
some networks and not from others. I have contacted Network Solutions and
they told me "It's
not on our end"
I will be greatful for any help I receive.
Thank you
Randy Carlile
