RE: [cobalt-users] www.machinename.domain.com??

Brian,

What sites did you create? www.domain.com and name.domain.com ? If all you
did was add a record for www.name.domainname.com, then the server will not
know what it is, it will translate it to an IP address and go to the admin
site. The server works based on names and if you haven't specified to the
server what that name is, it just becomes an IP address.

Hi all,

I've got a client on a RAQ2 who has: www.domainname.com and wants:
name.domainname.com

I've set this up by creating a new virtual account and then adding the DNS
records. I've added records for both: www.name.domainname.com and just
name.domainname.com.

One problem. The www.name.domainname.com doesn't work. It changes to my
admin site instead of going to the client's site.

Any ideas? I don't think I can check the box "Accept email for domain"
because the primary domain is already accepting mail.

Thanks for any help.

Brian
