Don't know what the file is. However, you may get help using the rpm
command, which allows you to query which package owns the file you're
wondering about. I think the command would be "rpm -qf /var/cobalt/status"
but I'm not sure. "man rpm" to find out for sure.
Alternately, do "less /var/cobalt/status" and see if you can read this file;
maybe it's cleartext.
