Hi Folks I had asked this question a few days ago with no response, thought
I would give it one more shot.
I could have sworn I saw answers. Well, just in case, make sure you
really need to do this because Raq automatically archives and cleans
these files. It creates a file with the suffix .gz for the copies.
If you have some reason for doing a zero on these files, you should
copy them and then you can zero them -- I use cat although there are
many other ways to do it.
Do this in Telnet as root. For example:
cat > /home/log/httpd/error
They are only text files so there should be no problem. But PLEASE
make sure you've copied the files first just in case there is.
cp /home/log/httpd/error /home/log/httpd/error.backup
or something like that.
