The list archives are accessible via the cobalt site ... the link is in the
same area as the knowledge base. I have not had much success with the
archives because of the way they are organised.

The guy that posted messages on port forwarding was;
dr. mikey. <mikey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I believe his original post can be accessed at;
<http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-users/2000-May/011827.html>
His objective was to make a FileMaker Pro server visible ... same process,
different port number. There was some discussion and a working solution was
posted to the list ... I just can't find it at the moment.
I hope this is enough to get you headed in the right direction.
Personally I think its a better idea to use a hardware box to do the job. I
have used Sonic Bandits, WebRamps, and even Apple AirPort Basestations for
modem connections. I have also used Macs and PCs running Vicomsoft
SoftRouter Plus and Macs running IPNR but prefer hardware as there are no
moving parts, easy to manage and take up far less space. If you have a
cable/DSL connection then there are a number of boxes on the market (e.g.
Farallon Broadband Gateway <http://www.farallon.com/me/netline/index.html>).
Cheers, Malcolm
