As a hosting company we have a full compliment of Cobalt servers from the
Cobalt RaQ 1 through to the latest 4r.
If you are concerned over the spec of your RaQ4 here are a couple of checks:
Log in and click the Cobalt logo in the top left. The Cobalt OS should be
6.
The following info was generated from a genuine RaQ4r sitting on my desk...
Telnet in and type "dmesg"
The third line should read:
"Detected 448211767 Hz processor."
Further down look for:
"eth0: Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 at 0x6200, 00:10:E0:01:E4:55, IRQ 11.
Board assembly 000000-000, Physical connectors present:
Primary interface chip None PHY #0.
General self-test: passed.
Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
Internal registers self-test: passed.
ROM checksum self-test: passed (0xdbd8681d).
Receiver lock-up workaround activated.
eth1: Invalid EEPROM checksum 0x5cc6, check settings before activating this
devi
ce!
eth1: Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 at 0x6240, 00:10:E0:01:E6:4A, IRQ 10.
Board assembly 000000-000, Physical connectors present:
Primary interface chip None PHY #0.
General self-test: passed.
Serial sub-system self-test: passed.

ROM checksum self-test: passed (0xdbd8681d).

This will signify that you have 2 ethernet connectors. In my case only 1 is
physcially hooked up.
In active monitor -> network you should have a table containing stats for
"Network 1" and "Network 2".
In the control panel -> network you should have 2 different mac addresses
for the 2 different installed network cards.
As for the subject of lawsuits and retalitory sites...
cobaltracks.com are Cobalt Diamond Partners. While this means they should
have the technical knowledge to pull off what is being suggested I do find
it difficult to believe. We are also Diamond Partners and as such we are
aware of the level of discount this status offers so the rates offered by
cobaltracks.com are possible (although the margins are v.tight). While
there is a siginificant difference in the purchase price of a RaQ3 and 4
this would be almost cancelled out due to the amount of time and effort
involved in upgrading the units. Particularly on the scale suggested. Has
anyone contacted cobaltracks.com to check to see if they have been installed
on the wrong specification unit? Either temporarily or by accident? Just a
thought...
