Hi everybody,
I just received my Qube3 and I am trying to run it off my DSL line.
I am using a dynamic DNS service to map my domain to the current IP.
I am a little fuzzy on where I need to enter what.
Do I need to run DNS on the Qube itself or is that done solely by the dyn. DNS?
I assume this messup is also the reason why I keep getting those emails of this type:
...
5.5.3 MX list for domain.net points back to relay.domain.net
5.5.4 <user@xxxxxxxxxx>... Local configuration error
Therefore I can neither send nor receive... :-(
Can somebody help me on how to set this thing up?
* eth0 is connected to my hub for internal use - currently I have the domain also defined for the IP that I have internally (same with the MX) - I guess that's
wrong though
* eth1 ist connected to the DSL modem
* I set my dyn. DNS to point *.domain.net to my IP that I see for ppp0 via ifconfig as well as defining a FQDN www.domain.net as A record and a MX
domain.net pointing to www.domain.net
Anybody done this? (I guess so) Any good/bad experience with a (free) dyn. DNS provider?
Thanx a million.
Ingo.
