Re: [cobalt-users] Installed Raq3 glibc Update, Fried Admin Interface

I installed the RaQ3-All-Security-3.0.1-8061.pkg by placing it in the
/home/packages directory, then installing via the "loaded" option under
the "install software" screen as instructed. The server performed the
mandatory reboot, then the Admin interface stopped functioning
normally. The options for Server Management appear as they should on
the left-hand side of the screen, but the right-hand side says "The
server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable
to complete your request." Other than frying the interface, everything
else appears to be working.

To install a package, all you need to do is perform the installing through the GUI. THAT does the full installation including loading it on to your site. You don't ever have to "load" it anyplace manually first.

Wipe any package you've manually installed and then do a separate uninstall using the uninstall program for this package and then see what happens. If the screen returns, you should just do your installation through the GUI.

If you'r stuck, the list archives have a lot of material on how to do an uninstall, by the way.
