RE: [cobalt-users] Email Relay Blocked?

You need to make sure that the ISP your client is dialling is in the
appropriate relay mail for domain box. Then as was recently posted on this
list by someone more knowledgeable than I (can't find the mail at the
moment) make sure that the smtp setting for mail in your clients email
program is set to smtp.myISP.net the POP3 can remain that of your mail
server.

Well it worked for my client recently anyway so there's at least a good
chance; unless a good guru on this list can advise a better solution as I am
a relative newbie to raq's too.

Paul.

One of our new clients says his email is rejected at Yahoo, AOL and MSN
email addresses: Here is the error message:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'don_chino@xxxxxxxxx'. Subject
'test', Account: 'jeremy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx', Server:
'galaxycomputinginc.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 ...
Relaying denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error
Number: 0x800CCC79

I tested and confirmed this with a different email address on his account.
I'm new to the Cobalts, is there something I am missing here?

p.s. Is there a serchable archive of this mailing list?

Thanks,
Kelly Britt
