Last month my RaQ3 broke down, probably caused by an U-DMA failure, according
to the LAST :) entry in /var/log/messages.

It seems useful to me to switch off DMA to increase reliability. Perhaps a more
experienced technician can explain wether I'm right or wrong?

Offtopic: I'm waiting for 4 weeks now for a recovery CD that Cobalt support
(NL) promised to send within the next day ... in the meantime I succeeded in
restoring the whole RaQ3-backup to an ordinary desktop PC. Works great ... ;-)

Best wishes,
Stefan
