Re: [cobalt-users] RaQ3 use with a modem???

if you start a web hosting company with a dial up, i can garuntee that you
will not have happy customers. i would maybe look into co-locating your raq
at an isp or someother company with the bandwidth already in place.

Subject: [cobalt-users] RaQ3 use with a modem???

I would like to acquire one of those RaQ 3i to start my web hosting
business. I would like to ask you, I don´t have a network connection since
I am at home, so I use the modem to get into the internet... My question is
if I can plug a modem on that PCI slot or can I use an external modem to be
connected to a serial port in the RaQ3? Should I first ask you, Can I use
the RaQ3 with a modem? If so, how do I get an IP address, gateway mask and
submask, etc...? Finally, Do I only need one IP address to hoste several
websites on the RaQ3?

Thanks really for all your help...

Manuel
