Email Server Alias should only be set to domain.com leave out the
host.domain.com.
This is per cobalt support. I had a problem sending from one domain to
another but could receive mail fine for any host other than the same host
the site was on. That was the problem, I had domain.com, mail.domain.com in
the email server alias.

I fixed the problem in this way:
1)don't use any CMANE records
2) Control panel- DNS parameters: set a mx recor like this
domain.com mail is sent to the High priority mail server
domain.com
3)Site managment-site settings:
add in the field "Email Server Aliases" something like:
domain.com, mail.domain.com , (or any alias you think, but not
www.domain.com*)
4)Control panel - Emai server parameters:
Check if in "Host/Domain Aliases" there is www.domain.com*. If not, add it.
Do things in that order or it won't work
If the host names of the virtual sites are not "www" change them where I put
"*".
This works with me. I have both @www.domain.com and @domain.com working
properly.
Hope this help
Ciao
Filiberto
