Well Enabling that "Block Wan Request" worked perfect. I read in the manual
that Blocking the Wan Request just makes it so you cant accept pings... so I
dont see why its that bad. If I run into a problem.. I guess I can always
disable it,.. do what I need to do... then enable it again.
Thanks for the help.. I love click SEND in email and having it send within
1/2 second.
Same goes for FTP.
Thanks,
Clint

I don't believe this is entirely true. The block WAN request should block
requests NOT initiated from the LAN. Therefore, any service call initiated
from a host "behind" the firewall should be allowed through to the
"originating" workstation. Further, I believe there were known issues with
FTP on the Linksys router when it first came out. Again, Linksys tech
support stated to me that 1.35 and 1.36 are unreliable and corruptible and
SHOULD NOT be used. It's up to you but, I would NOT disable blocking WAN
requests. Instead if need be, I would set the router to allow services you
need to pass through the firewall.
