RE: [cobalt-users] Mail queue reporting problems

Jonathan,

||>You should look in /home/spool/mail/slinn

It turns out this *is* where I was. When I was writing the letter I skipped
a step. Ack. Sorry 'bout that.

||>So, size of mailbox is:
||>ls -la /home/spool/mail/slinn

That's the command I'm using to see it, list all...

||>Delete the mailbox (will be recreated on next email):
||>rm /home/spool/mail/slinn

Did that; now the file size and Outlook Express' guesstimates on the size
are the same. But the System Status/Disk Size Usage is still reporting her
as having 13.7MB of stuff in her users folder. All that's there is the
default index.html page and her mail. I've been keeping an eye on it and she
cleans out the mail down to zero every five minutes like a charm.

Could it be that the GUI won't report the correct size until the next time
the machine does some sort of a cron job?
I've checked it with different browsers in case it was the browser caching
the cgi output; still the same thing. Grrr@my GUI. :)
