Okay, here's my question...The site is running on a Cobalt RAQ3 which has it's own DNS server on it (ns1.langco.com). The RAQ system is set to resolve all DNS through ns1.langco.com, so I set up DNS entries for the webgeek site on the system.
However, as far as the rest of the world is concerned, I'm running DNS for webgeek.com elsewhere (zoneedit.com). My settings on Zoneedit are considerable different than those on the RAQ because I'm actually running several different physical machines for the domain and I'm too d*mn lazy to simply move DNS completely over to the RAQ.
The DNS settings on the RAQ are as they are supposed to be (no CNAME). I figured as long as the I had the DNS setup properly on the RAQ and the machine is using it's own DNS for internal lookups that I could then do whatever I like elsewhere (it works fine that way for all the domains I'm hosting on other machines).
Am I kidding myself? --Dave
