Make sure under Site Settings you have "Accept Email for Domain" is checked.
Also make sure your DNS is set up properly.

I'm having the same symptom happen with a RaQ3 - the host.domain.com
works great for email addressed to: badname@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx but not for
email addressed to: badname@xxxxxxxxxx .
