It's an nt license message. I'm not 100% sure since it's not my server
setup, but, if you goto the licensing administration piece in nt, and tell
it per server license rather than per client license (the default), it will
more than likely go away. From what you've described it sounds like it's
what's causing the issue. Also, you can goto the log file viewer and set
each log so that it has a set size limit and it autocleans itself up as
needed, and never get those nasty logfile full error messages again. It's
one of the 1st things I do.. go in and give the logfiles like 10 megs each,
and have them autoclean as needed. As far as coblats (blat for the sucky
support). I hate to say it, but they're underpowered, oversold,
undersupported, overtauted, and under my junk pile. I have a pair of $3,500
raq2 paperweights if anyone is interested in them. The best thing I ever did
was get pissed of at coblat and look for another server.. cause I found one
that has all the features, and non of the sucky drawbacks of the cobalts.

Subject: [cobalt-users] [Qube2] Win NT Event Viewer Warning:
LicenseService
dear all,
we use a qube2 as our internet gateway and dhcp server, and a pc running
windows nt server 4 (sp6a) for print and file serving. every 15 minutes
or so, our win nt server registers a warning message in the application
log as follows:
Event ID: 213
Source: LicenseService
Type: Warning
Description: Replication of License information failed because the
License Logging Service on server \\Qube could not be contacted.
now this doesn't seem to affect anything other than it fills up the
event viewer with a bunch of annoying alerts. my question is...
my question is: how can i stop these messages?
thanks for the help,
mikey.
p.s., when posed this question, cobalt tech support responded with the
rather unhelpfull: It appears NT is looking for some type of services
on the computers on the network or just on the Qube. However, the Qube
does not support this service which is why you're getting this in your
event log on your NT server.
