While it's common practice for a colocation company to stop advertising
IP#s that are targets of a denial of service attack (if possible), or to
block all traffic to said IP#s (if cessation of advertising isn't
possible), in order to limit as much as possible, adverse effect on
their network, I'd probably not want to buy services from a company that
would just terminate the account. After all I could be an innocent
victim. I'd expect anyone hosting me to give me a chance to clean up
the problem and return the system to service.
Your server can be used without your knowledge or consent in a denial of
service attack; if one of mine were I'd sure like the opportunity to
clean up the mess.
