As we know, the Raq majordomo doesn't let you email a revised config
to a list -- emails back a "can't find .newlist" error (or something
like that). I've been changing it through Telnet with vi because I've
just been reluctant to do the recommended fix in the archives: go to
config-parse.pl and change the line
'restrict_post', '#!"$list"', # Like -I in resend
to
'restrict_post', '#!"$baselist"', # Like -I in resend
I'm assuming that this change only affects restrict_post but am I
right? Would it affect any of the other majordomo services involving
the GUI or any of the other configurations. I'm just confused as to
why it needs baselist for this one function but can find "list" on
all the others and am worried that, if I change it to baselist in
restrict_post, it's gonna look for baselist whenever it needs the
"list" file for all the rest of its functions. Sounds crazy but crazy
things do sometimes happen on this machine.
In short, is it safe?
Thanks
Alfredo
