It seems to me that just setting the vacation message with that message
would work just as well. The incoming mail would still get delivered to the
POP box, and the message would be sent back. Have the user go into that user
account's email settings, set the vacation message, and test it out.
If the client is wanting an alias for his own user account to do this,
'twould be best if he made a new user entirely for it.
