Hello all Cobalt users,
You will understand that I am a newbie on Cobalt RaQ3i and Linux
programming. I have a new Cobalt RaQ3i and I need to install MySQL and PHP
on my machine. For this purpose, I visited Cobalt web page at:
http://emea.cobalt.com/support/kb/search.php3?ques=mysql&qid=726&language=1
I followed the procedures mentioned there. They say:
"To install an rpm, telnet in to your box, su to root, ftp the file to your
cobalt machine, then execute the command:
rpm -Uvh rpmfile"
However, when I do rpm -Uvh, I am getting installation error message. On the
other hand, when I look at my machine through an FTP browser, I see that
related MySQL and PHP .rpm files are installed under my:
/home/sites/home/users/admin
directory. I think that the issue starts from this point.
I would like to have help of someone who did this installation previously.
Hoping to hear from friends here soon, I remain.
Regards all,
Mustafa
