[cobalt-users] Re[3] Qube2 responding too slow

I am still having delays (only sometimes) when checking the local mail or trying to telnet the Qube.
Our DNS settings are following: The DNS Service is running. Under Network, the Primary DNS is the Qube itself (10.0.0.1 in our case) and the Secondary DNS is the ISP's DNS.
What I still don't get, is why the Qube would try to lookup any names at all, if I just try to check my local mail?!

I would suggest so.  I always set a Qube to point to itself as its Primary
DNS, then use the ISP's DNS as the Secondary.  This means the Qube does not
need to contact the ISP's DNS for local activity.


WRT the Gateway Microserver, it is configured to use the loopback address
(127.0.0.1) as its Primary DNS.
