The part I can't figure out is why any of us care.  After all, all we
know is that one person, who has NEVER posted to this list before, is
complaining he can't reach tech support.  We know nothing else.

The corporation could be registered anywhere.  Neither Georgia nor South
Carolina have excessive restrictions against so-called "foreing"
corporations doing business there.  And many states (including
California, as far as I can tell) have no law that keeps you from
calling your company "Inc." even if it isn't.
