Have a look at the Netgear PS104, PS110, or PS113.

Hey you sound like a bright guy, get yourself a parallel PCI card and write
yourself some Linux drivers for it. Then you can write a Linux printer
driver for your printer and finally you can reconfigure SAMBA to act as a
print server for your locally connected printer.

Get a life, buy network ready printers and just do it ... forget about using
slave printers on PCs. If you have legacy parallel printers then consider a
print server appliance from Netgear.
The world is full of appliances ... just pick one which suits your need.
