The state of California, as you may know, has, in it's infinite wisdom,
create a mechanism where people can write their own laws, circumventing
the state Legislature completely.
I've just registered a proposal, hereinafter to be known as "Prop D"
legislating capital punishment for anyone caught sending an entire
digest (including or not including additional posting) to a mailing list
hosted in California.
Two things come to mind:
One: Do you have any idea what happens when you send an entire digest to
a list, and your post gets digested? Short Answer: Nothing good.
Longer Answer: Most of the time you trigger an immediate digest.
Two: The cobalt lists are hosted in California.
If you're interested in signing, and you're a registered California
voter, please let me know.
