I setup domain.com to its own ip He wants domain.net to to go a subdirectory in his domain.com, such as /web/domainnet But when i setup domain.net, and use either the default ip or the domain.com's ip, i get this when i restart httpd
Gary, to be clear, you're trying to make domain.net go INTO domain.com's site? In other words, that domain should point to a sub-directory of the domain.com site?
Well, how did you set up domain.net? It sounds like they're sharing an IP address but the IP address is going to point to only one site: the one with a reverse record OR the first virtual site in your config list. It won't permit anything else to happen.
Any Suggestions?
If I'm right about what you're trying to do, I would do this the funky way. Headers. If you have domain.net site actually set up, put a meta tag on the top of its index page referring it to the sub-directory in question (with the full domain name). This is not the most elegant way to do it but it's an effective way to point into another domain's site.
If there is no domain.net site, I don't think the config file is going to help because it doesn't manage pointing to site sub-directories. It's for directory level aliases.
