You've been lucky. After their RaQ2 OS3 update screwed up mail on my server,
one of their techs, without warning, entered my RaQ and began "fixing" it
without telling me. I had gotten the mail straightened out and wanted to
wait until they fixed the Qpopper problem before trying the update again. Of
course, his fixing caused my mail to again crash. I had no way of knowing
that he was working on my RaQ since they didn't bother to tell me. I'm on
the phone with my host trying to figure out "now what" and rebooted the
server. Only then did the Cobalt tech call me to tell me he was surprised
that in the middle of working on my RaQ2 it suddenly rebooted. "Why did I do
that?" C'mon, how about a phone call if you're going to work on someone's
server?
Of course, they once again didn't bother to see that I had the POP before
SMTP patch installed when they decided to "fix" my upgrade. Because of the
way my RaQ2 is behaving now, I'm still not too sure I have the OS3 update
properly installed. I'm getting an occasional error that, according to their
docs, was supposed to have been fixed in an earlier OS2 update that was
installed before the OS3 update.
Of course, once he was done, we could no longer get POP before SMTP to work.
