Neither would I, but that's precisely what this Sun VP (forgot
the name) just said they won't do. He said, "We don't have the
energy to drive two operating systems." (exact quote)

Thus the concern.

Oh HO!!! He said a bit more than THAT! He also quipped that "end users" don't really care about Operating Systems (to paraphrase accurately, I think).

Scuse me???? If by "end users" he means us (people on this list), then we've got a problem. And if he means somebody else, he's ignoring US (people on this list) and that's an even bigger problem.

I think the issue here goes beyond the quality and applicability of Solaris vs Cobalt Linux. I think there's an attitude problem developing. Rodolfo, you ask in another email whether you're worried "without cause"? Oh no...I think that's the ONLY thing you don't have to worry about. LOL

I'll sign anything to remind these folks that some professionals DO use Raqs and we're very concerned about things like Operating Systems.
