RE: [cobalt-users] OpenSRS on Raq3

It is really very simple:

you need to have CRYPT::Blowfish installed (or CRYPT::DES which is not rec
and doesn't come as std on box) - my box came with it already in.

You need to sign agmts with Tucows - can be downloaded off the site.

The install instructions now are very good and lead you through the process
of creating the appropriate directories etc.

Update a config file to update paths and specify some options

update 3 cgi's for the path info to the conf file

There is a verify_install.cgi script that checks for most things that could
go wrong.

You perform RITE testing - to show you're capability in use of the software

You are allocated access to the production env after passing the rite test.

changes to be made include ability to show customer various agreements, and
dispute policies and making sure they understand them. Setting your pricing
and interfacing to a credit card company if required,

there is an active mailing list that sometimes goes over the top in flames
(sounds familiar)

all in all not too hard

There are also companies that specialise in creating fancy sites to support
Opensrs - add ons etc
