[cobalt-users] rpc.statd daemon exploit

Since I have not installed the RAQ3 3.0 OS update.
The RAQ will not let me install the new Cobalt 
rpc.statd daemon security package without first
installing the 3.0 OS update.

I do not want to update to the Coablt 3.0 OS version
at this time but I would like to still install the
rpc.statd security measure.

Redhat has put up a rpm download to address this issue
located here.

My question is would I experience  any problems using
the Redhat RPM version over Cobalt's package?
