[cobalt-users] Raq2 - SSL and PHP4.02

Anyone have an opinion here?

I want to put an ssl server on my (steam driven) Raq2 which I have
configured with PHP4 and MySql etc etc, now after legging it through the
archives for best part of 2 hours I have discovered the following "facts"
and I would appreciate an objective opinion so that I don't do a blunder!

(Incidentally) I am intending to use the ssl to gain a cert from Thawte or
Verisign and to operate a smashing piece of code called "The Exchange
Project" which has some amazing abilities (all PHP driven) for free!

1. Does the ssl modules (whether from brosoft or anyone else) work with PHP?
2. Why can't I purchase ssl from cobalt (or is it because we are in the UK)?
3. Is the Brosoft product good for a direct (easy) purchase or is there
another as good.
4. Having installed other stuff from source, should I (for reasons of cost)
go for the open_ssl project or does the Cobalt OS mean that (once again) the
directory structures and script locations are all different form a standard
Linux installation?

Help appreciated.

Thanks chaps.
