[cobalt-users] Can't log in as su when partition full

Help!

I am using my RAQ3 as a mail server but the /var partition is full. I can't
delete the maillog file within /var/log without logging in as su - but the
system refuses my password.  Someone told me this is a bug caused by the
full partition and I must get a CD from Cobalt and rebuild it somehow.  This
is my second RAQ3 that's got this problem and I'm still waiting for the CD.
Anyone got a fix?  I'm a Unix rookie....
