Could someone please point me to a good reference regarding
.htaccess and the order/allow/deny/require semantics. I am trying
to restrict access to a site while maintaining publishing access
to select users and the hierarchy of .htaccess within the
FrontPage Extensions has me just a bit confused. I got it to work
the way I want, but only partially understand why... sigh...

Something important to remember..... FrontPage and FTP Don't 
work. i.e., do it All in FrontPage Never try to edit and upload 
outside of front page or FrontPage will bury itself deep into the very 
bowels of your system and all kind of weird things start to happen 
at the site your working on...  

I figured this out on my own from experience...
