RE: [cobalt-users] Changing Templates



You have to:

1- Log in with telnet then login as root.
2- Go to the directory where the file you are trying to modify is.
3- type "chown admin filename"
4- Now FTP in as admin and go to that directory

Now you can edit the file and save and do whatever you want.

After you are done and save the file, go back to your telnet session (should still be open)and type in

- chown root filename

This brings the permissions back under the ownership of root and voila.

You probably can't FTP into that directory. Just upload the
files into a directory you can FTP to, log in via telnet and
move them, where they are supposed to be.
