[cobalt-users] NAT W/PC Anywhere

Hi all,
I'm a new subscriber and first time user of a cobalt Qube, so if this is old
hat, please excuse.

Situation: I have a client with a Qube that wants to be able to access his
server from home using PC Anywhere across his ISP's Internet connection
(dial-up). Please tell me if my proposed solution will work, I have not
tried this but will be at the clients site tomorrow to implement. They are
using a static IP on one port of the Qube (external provided by ISP) and a
static internal IP on the other port (192.168.XXX.XXX behind the firewall.)

Proposed Solution: On the Qube
* First of all, turn on NAT and allow IP filtering.
* Set up filtering rule as follows:
o Rule Number: 1
o Policy: Accept
o Source IP: Any
o Source Port: 5631-5632 (standard port usage by PC Anywhere - TCP and UDP)
o Destination IP: 192.168.XXX.XXX (Server's Internal IP address) Subnet: 24
o Destination Port: 5631-5632
o Protocol: All

* Re-enable IP filtering

On the Client Dial-up PC, set up PC Anywhere to remote control device
206.221.32.25 (External IP address of Qube provided by ISP)

Please advise,

Thanks,
Mark Henneman
