Yes the source tarball will work.  I installed PHP4.0.2 as a DSO on a RaQ3
within the last week.  PHP4.0.2 was released at the end of August.  For
instructions and hints search the list archives here for "PHP" or "PHP4" since
instructions have been posted before.
