I have been having the same problem with one of my new sites.
I tried everything, changing ownerships, removing and re installing
the extensions (I might add that the best way to remove and
reinsall the extensions, is to FIRST, delete the user with admin
privs to the site... Then remove the extensions and re install them.
Then re create the user with admin privs). I even deleted the entire
site and started over again... No avail... The ONLY way I have
found that has worked sofar, was to delete the site, create a
dummy site (one that would use the old Site#) then add the site all
over again as new so that it didn't use the previous site#.. So now I
have a site Marked NOFRONT PAGE#1. And will use it in the
future for an account that dosen't want front page.. But there's more
to this sogga... It seems to me that Front Page does NOT like
anyone other than the front page user muddeling with it.. It seems
to get quite upset and apparently attaches it self to the very bowels
of the OS somehow.. Thus causing sudden death to the site#.. So
after all of above, my client has been able to Publish to Http: NOT
FTP... using their standard login and password and it all go's into
<root web>.. Pitty Microsoft left out any way for a front page user
to choose root or user/web isn't it...
Hope this helps... But We still are having issues with Front Page
2k concerning counters and marque operations and coding..
I really believe this is all relative to that Bumb Release of proftpd
that Cobalt infected my Raq3 with... Have been waiting a long time
for a Fix Release... Apparently they think We Cobalt Owners
aren't like real admins, but ham radio operators or something..
my 2 cents..

Once again I must thank those of you who posted answers to my last post
concering accpeting email for a subdomain.
Now I am curious as to whether there is a way to set the initial remote
directory server-side for Front page extentions. It seems that Front page
automatically dumps the files in the /user/username/ directory rather than
/web/
If this is not something wrong server-side, what should I be telling users
who use frontpage to do ? I cant find any setting for initial remote
directory.
This is a Raq3.
Cheers,
